Workers of the Home

Titus 2:5 says that women have a wonderful role to play in the home.  We are to keepers of the home.
I really feel this is always the desire of God for the woman to take care of the household while the man is at work.  It even says that a man that doesn't work is worse than an infidel in 1Timothy 5:8.
 I do believe that with prayer all things are possible with God.  God can supply the needs in miraculous ways or provide a job at home that will help supply the needs.  There are times when the husband may be off work or can't work because of sickness or a layoff or whatever though.  I think all things should just be taken to the Lord in prayer and let him guide you and help you find what is right for you and your family.  I think he is the Good Sheppard and he will not lead you astray.  He will supply your every need according to his riches in glory.  Be blessed and give it all to the Lord.
