Five incredibly good reasons why you should read the book of Jasher.

1. It has some funny information about Joseph in the book of Jasher that you can't find in the canon about Potiphar's wife.  She was the one that had the hots for Joseph and practically tried to rape him.
2. This book has an interesting story about Pharoah in Jasher 76:25.  It tells how he had leprosy that was brought on by Yah because of his terrible wickedness.  He had sorcerers that told him that if he killed the Hebrew's children and put their blood in his wounds that he would be healed.  He killed 375 of the Hebrew children altogether and he had leprosy for 10 years.  He also received a tumor in his stomach that turned into a boil because he was so awful.
3. There is an interesting story about another Pharoah in chapter 77 named Adikam who also killed the Hebrew children when the parents didn't reach their brick quota for the day.  He would take the children from the parents and put them in the walls of the building to replace the brinks they were short.  He actually put them in the walls to die with mortar around them and everything.  This man got his from the most high.  I am sorry but this is incredibly satisfying to me that justice was served to these evil men on a platter.  Guess it is true that you will reap what you sew.
4. The Passover story has way more information and is way more interesting.
5. Has information about how Moses was married to a woman before Zipporah who was a heathen idolator.  He wouldn't even have sex with her because she wasn't a Hebrew.  He also was in jail for 10 years and much much more.

It is hard to sit down and read sometimes with so many things to do.  I have listed some very enticing reasons for you to read this book, but did you also know that reading the Bible is so very good for your mental health.  First of all, you will learn little things that will help with anxiety and stress.  Did you know that the Bible says to not be anxious about anything but in all things with prayer and thanksgiving let your request be made known unto Yah and his peace will guard your heart and mind?  Wow!  if you wouldn't have read your Bible or this blog post you wouldn't have known that.  So many people spend lots and lots of money on mental health when most of their answers are right in the Bible and they don't cost you anything. Here is a Depression post.   Here are a few more reasons not only to read this book but to read your Bible in general.

1. It increases your Faith.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word.  
2. Shows you how to live.  How to please Yah.
3. Gives you conversation starters at church and helps you to witness for Yah.
4. The fruits of Yah's spirit are love, peace, and joy.
