Salvation

Why do I need a Savior you may ask?  The Messiah tells us in Galatians 5:16 that if we don't walk in the spirit we will fulfill the lusts of the flesh.  Without the Holy Spirit, we are born with a desire to do bad things sometimes.  Elohim knew our nature and that is why he came down in the form of human flesh.  He came to teach his creation why we need him to help us.  We have a human nature that is easily tempted.  It gets angry a lot, it always wants more, more, more and more.  It is an empty shell that is always trying to make itself happy with things other than our Father.  He tries to tell us how to be set free from addictions that will destroy us, and help us to know a better way.  A way where we will have peace, joy and his love filling our life.  Yahusha is our savior, and we need him, he created us to be filled by him, and to be used by him in a special way.  Without him, we are flawed, lost and empty.  The commandments were given to us so that we would understand what sin truly is, and how much we need of him to have victory over it.  Our Father needs us all to repent of the sins we are involved in and ask for his help to turn from them.  We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Yah.  We are all sinners!  We all need Our Father so desperately!
The commandments are listed in Exodus 20.
1.  No other gods before you
2.  No graven images
3.  Don't take the Lord's name in vain
4.  Remember the Sabbath
5.  Honor Father and Mother
6.  Don't kill
7.  Don't commit adultery
8.  Don't steal
9.  Don't lie
10. Don't covet
The 10 commandments were given to Moses for the nation of Israel on Mount Sinai.  These are in Exodus 20 and later in Deut. 5 where he speaks about making a covenant through these commandments with his people.  At this time they were just a list of laws along with many others that his people tried to follow.  Our laws today keep our everyday affairs running smoothly and orderly.  Without rules, there would be chaos.  The people back then offered sacrifices for their sins, which showed that they needed more than just laws, they needed a Savior.  Let's say a prayer of repentance.  After reading the list of commandments you probably realize that you, along with everyone else, probably fall a little short.  Dear Father, please forgive me for my sins, (confess anything that comes to mind to him).  I realize that I am a sinner in need of a savior and I ask you to continue to lead and guide me and come into my heart and give me what I need to make it to heaven.

What does the Bible say specifically about salvation?  The Bible says in the book of Acts, in the second chapter and verse 38 to repent and be baptized in Yahusha's name for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  Notice his name is not Father, Son or Holy Spirit.  Romans 6 disproves sprinkling done in some churches today because in verse 4 it says: therefore we are buried with him by baptism unto death.  As our Messiah was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life.  You cannot be buried in a few sprinkles of water.  This is important folks!  I am sure Yahuah is truly offended that people change his word to fit their own fancy.  More scriptures are Colossians 2:12-14  which talks about how baptism will wipe your trespasses away and Acts 19:3-5, Acts 10:47-48 and Mark 16:16-20 says he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned.
We have heard the gospel and realized our need for Yahuwah. We have been taught about Baptism and why we must be baptized in his name for the remission of our sins.  Now let us check out a prophecy, shall we?  In Joel 2:28 Yahuah talks about how in the last days he would pour out his spirit upon all mankind and that he would give us gifts to use in that day, to witness and help people to find him.  Let's find where this is fulfilled.  Let's go to Acts 1 where Jesus has told his disciples to gather in Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Ghost in verse 5.  In verse 8 he says that they will receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon them and they shall be his witnesses.  In Acts 2 his disciples are gathered in one accord and suddenly there came a sound as of rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  There appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.  Sounds like the fulfillment of Acts 1 and Joel 2:28 to me.  What else does the Bible say about this Holy Spirit?  Acts 2:38 says to repent and be baptized in the name of Yahusha for the remission of your sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  This is the plan of salvation.  Not man's plan but our Father's plan.  What else can we find?  Acts 8 is where Philip went to Samaria to preach.  He did many miracles and there was great joy in the city.  Philip baptized Simon among others, but when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of Yahusha, they sent unto them Peter and John.  They prayed for them to receive the Holy Ghost because they had only been baptized.  They laid hands on them and they received this gift.  In Acts 10 is the story of Cornelius.  He received the Holy Ghost along with his family and then later was baptized.  Acts 19 tells of Ephesus and how they didn't even know about a Holy Ghost but had only been baptized under John's baptism for the remission of sins.  Paul rebaptized them and prayed for them to receive the Holy Ghost.  Through these examples, we learn the need for not only the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues but also water baptism for the remission of sins.
